After entering the liquid chromatograph or gas chromatograph and the chromatographic-mass spectrometer for detection - the results are issued. In order to ensure the accuracy of the test results, the above process takes at least 1-2 days to complete. In addition, the completion of the above steps requires a full set of testing equipment, including liquid phase, gas chromatograph and mass spectrometer, which is expensive and costly, and needs to be completed in a professional laboratory and requires professional operations.
Because the procedure is complicated and the process is cumbersome, the relevant government departments can only take the sampling method to complete the detection of pesticide residues in the laboratory, and cannot perform rapid detection on the spot.

The rapid screening technology for pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Sun Yat-sen University of Taiwan Prof. Xie Jiantai's “thermal desorption electrospray ion source technology” achieved perfect integration and successfully developed a rapid screening and mass spectrometry mobile platform for pesticide residues.
The platform solves a series of problems such as long traditional detection period, multiple types of pesticide residues, low sampling rate, high false positive rate of existing fast screening technology, limited detection types, and difficulty in meeting market demands. Comprehensive supervision provides a feasible plan, provides important technical support for the implementation of the “access and admission” system for the fruit and vegetable products market, and realizes the scientific supervision of agricultural product quality and safety. It will also effectively promote the rapid improvement of the quality of domestic agricultural product quality screening.
At the same time, the pesticide residue rapid screening mass spectrometry mobile platform realized the “moving” of the precision laboratory into the vehicle, combined with the improved mass spectrometer, to truly achieve the purpose of on-site inspection.
