Among the 17 models released this time, including 5 Class A vehicles, 3 Class B vehicles, and 9 SUV models, the test vehicles were all purchased directly from the model stores by the C-NCAP Management Center. Eight of these models use special funds from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center. The total cost of car purchases was about 7,627,800 yuan. The 17 models involved 9 independent brands, 7 joint venture brands and 1 imported brand.
The evaluation test for the first batch of 17 models began on January 6, 2015 and was completed on April 17. So far, the total number of C-NCAP evaluation models has reached 279, of which 107 models have been evaluated according to the 2012 edition of the C-NCAP management rules.
At the press conference, the Management Center also issued the "C-NCAP Management Rules (2015 Edition)", and the new rules will be implemented after July 1 this year. Therefore, the first half of this year is the final stage of the implementation of the C-NCAP (2012 version) rules. Many new models that have been listed in the past two years are designed and developed with the goal of the 2012 edition. Many companies hope to demonstrate the safety level of their products through the C-NCAP platform, which reflects the company's emphasis on vehicle safety technology. There are many needs for applying for evaluation. In order to meet the needs of enterprises, the management center has specially adjusted the test cycle, increased the frequency of trials, and arranged as much as possible for the application evaluation models. Therefore, the number of models released this time has increased significantly compared with the same period of the previous year.

Compared with the 2012 version of the rules, the 2015 version of the rules not only improved and tightened the test details and whipping test scores, but also revised the star rating criteria, especially the 5-star threshold increased from 52 points to 54 points, 4 stars. The threshold was increased from 44 points to 48 points. Since the driver's seat belt reminder and the child seat ISOFIX fixture have become the standard configuration of the regulations, the 2015 version of the rules no longer points to the two devices, the new rule total score from 62 points to 61 points, get high stars The difficulty of the grade evaluation has increased significantly.
