The St. Anne Fire Protection District in Kankakee County responded to a severe three-alarm house fire today, January 27, 2019, at the residence located at 12750 E 7000 S Road. The incident occurred in an area without access to fire hydrants, which posed a significant challenge for firefighters. In response, a water tender shuttle was organized, involving approximately a dozen fire trucks to ensure a continuous supply of water for firefighting efforts.
Despite the harsh winter conditions and limited resources, emergency crews worked diligently to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures. Local residents were advised to stay clear of the area as crews continued their operations. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no injuries have been reported so far.
