Anbang builds 20,000 tons of epichlorohydrin plant

Jiangsu Anbang Electrochemical Co., Ltd. uses abundant chlorine gas resources and is prepared to invest 260 million yuan to build a 20,000 tons/year epichlorohydrin plant. The project was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Environmental Engineering Consultation Center earlier this year. The entire project was fully launched on May 18 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in June next year.

Epichlorohydrin is an important organic raw material and has a wide range of uses. It is mainly used for the preparation of epoxy resins in China. At present, epichlorohydrin in the domestic market is very tight, and domestic epichlorohydrin can only meet about 50% of consumption. On the basis of in-depth research, Anbang electrification decided to invest in this project.

According to experts from the China Epoxy Resin Industry Association, there are currently only three sets of epichlorohydrin devices, namely Qilu Petrochemical's 30,000 tons/year, Tianjin Chemicals' 28,000 tons/year, and Baling Petrochemical's 24,000 tons/year. After Anbang electrified the device, it will play a positive role in repressing the price of epichlorohydrin that is too high in China.

It is understood that the device adopts advanced and mature domestic technology, which can achieve stable and reliable operation of the device, thus ensuring product quality; full use of effective resources can minimize the discharge of pollutants; all wastewater is discharged into the sewage treatment facilities for effective Treatment, exhaust gas all discharged into the tail gas centralized venting system, will not cause pollution to the environment. After the completion of the project, Anbang Electrochemical will increase annual revenue by 400 million yuan, profits and taxes by 100 million yuan, and form a chlor-alkali-chlorine-chloropropene-epichlorohydrin product chain to achieve the transformation from basic raw material processing to refined processing.
