East Dundee Fire District news

From the Legacy Fire Apparatus Facebook page: A recent incident involving the East Dundee Fire District turned into a story of resilience and community support. It all began when one of their custom Alexis fire engines was involved in an accident that wasn’t their fault. Thankfully, no personnel were hurt, but the vehicle was sidelined for repairs. Given the current challenges with extended production timelines and supply chain delays, the team reached out to their partners at Alexis Fire Equipment and their body shop for assistance. Their response was nothing short of amazing. Not only did they help expedite the repairs on the damaged rig, but they also provided a temporary loaner engine so the department could continue serving the community without interruption. Thanks to their efforts, East Dundee’s fire engine is now fully restored and back in action. This experience really highlights the importance of strong relationships within the firefighting community. At Alexis Fire Equipment, it’s clear that the customer always comes first—a family-owned business truly driven by its values. [Photos attached: Images show the original damaged vehicle, the loaner engine provided during the repair process, and the final restored fire engine.] Special thanks to Martin for sharing this inspiring story! --- This version adds more flow and detail while keeping the tone conversational, making it feel like a personal post rather than a robotic rewrite. Let me know if you'd like further adjustments!
