Still & Box Alarm fire in Chicago, 4-6-15

This morning, a fire broke out at 3227 N. Oriole, and it quickly spread to the buildings on both sides of the structure. The Still & Box Alarm was raised, and emergency services were quick to respond. Despite their efforts, one house was severely gutted by the flames, as you can see from these photos taken by local residents. The first image, captured by Michael Paige, gives a stark view of the damage. The fire left the home almost unrecognizable, with only the skeletal remains of its walls standing. In another shot, Dave Traiforos managed to capture the intensity of the situation, showing the extent of the destruction. Drew Gresik also documented the aftermath, offering a slightly different angle that highlights the sheer force of the blaze. The fourth photo, again by Dave Traiforos, shows firefighters working diligently to control the situation, with hoses stretched across the scene. In the final image, we see a fire hose draped over a nearby vehicle, a testament to the chaotic yet controlled environment during such emergencies. These photos paint a vivid picture of how devastating fires can be, not just for the property but also for the community surrounding it. If you live in the area or know anyone affected, please reach out to offer your support. It’s moments like these when coming together as a neighborhood becomes crucial. Let's hope for a swift recovery for everyone involved.
