"Technology Specification for Meridian Tire Process" Released
On April 10, the China Rubber Industry Association officially issued the "Technical Code for Meridian Tire Processes", and it was tried out in tire company members on the date of release. This is the first industry self-discipline standard issued by the China Rubber Association. The specification was formulated by the China Rubber Association on the basis of the opinions of the majority of member companies based on the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on the Self-discipline Management of the China Rubber Industry Association". In order to implement the association's first self-discipline standard, the China Rubber Association’s Technical and Economic Committee will organize training activities in accordance with the standard. The training methods will be flexibly adjusted according to the wishes of tire companies. At the same time, the Association intends to print this specification into a booklet for internal training. The China Rubber Association requested each tire member company to propose amendment opinions or suggestions in the reference trial and in combination with the company's technological conditions. The association will timely organize amendments to self-discipline standards in accordance with the company's recommendations. It is understood that last year, Tianjin Kumho Tire did not follow the requirements of the process, and after the incident was returned, it caused great repercussions in the tire industry. Tire companies believe that the occurrence of this incident reflects the lack of attention paid by companies to quality management and production site management in recent years and believes that this incident has sounded a warning for tire companies. In view of the existing "Some Regulations for Meridian Tire Technology", the rubber division of the former Ministry of Chemical Industry was established in May 1991, and the current tire production process technology has been greatly improved over the past. The China Rubber Association has extensively sought advice from tire companies. Based on the above, it was decided to reformulate the technical specifications of the radial tire process.
