According to the China Economic Information Network, Hunan Province will establish a coordination group for the special rectification work in the auto market and organize 10 departments, including commerce, public security, finance, transportation, industry and commerce, and quality supervision, to jointly reorganize the auto market from five aspects.
1. Clean up and abolish discriminatory policies and regulations on the sales and use of non-local production vehicles. Apply equal treatment in registration, charging, driving, and annual inspections. Do not compel or disguise mandatory local group users and individual consumers to purchase local production. The vehicle shall not interfere in any way with the operator’s selection of a vehicle that the country permits to produce and sell, and shall not implement the restricted-movement measures in accordance with the engine displacement or the vehicle specification.
2. Strictly crack down on criminal activities such as manufacturing and selling counterfeit and shoddy auto parts, rectify the order of the market for standard accessories, and rectify the production and sales of safety glass, safety belts, tires, and brake pads, and their markets.
3. Carry out cleaning and rectification and standardize the automobile maintenance market. For car maintenance companies that fail to meet the opening conditions, they must be ordered to complete rectification by May 20, 2004. If the overdue period is still not up to standard, the business license will be cancelled; The maintenance enterprise shall be ordered to suspend business and renew the business license as required.
4. To clean up and rectify the old motor vehicle trading market, and order the old motor vehicle trading center (market) and the old motor vehicle appraisal and assessment agency that do not have the specified conditions, the examination and approval procedures are inconsistent, and violates regulations and conduct illegal business operations, and order it in May 2004. The correction shall be completed before the 10th, and if it is still unqualified after the rectification, it shall be closed.
5. Clean up and rectify the market for recycling and dismantling scrapped automobiles, clean up and standardize the recycling and dismantling markets and enterprises of scrapped automobiles according to law, and severely crack down on criminal activities such as reselling scrapped vehicles.
