3-Alarm fire in Evanston, 1-9-15 (more)

On January 9, 2015, a three-alarm house fire broke out at 2519 Harrison Street in Evanston. Here are some powerful images captured by Larry Shapiro, offering a glimpse into the intense scene. A dramatic view of the burning home during winter, showing the cold and chaos that surrounded the structure. Firefighters were seen working hard to contain the flames, with one using an axe covered in ice. A Pierce Arrow XT fire engine was on the scene, ready to assist in the effort. One firefighter is seen covered in ice, highlighting the harsh conditions faced by emergency responders. A Battalion Chief from the Evanston Fire Department was also present, overseeing operations.
