Box alarm in Brookfield 11-4-12

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share what I witnessed last night in Brookfield. Around 10 PM, I responded to a box alarm on Woodside Road. When I got there, the fire had already been mostly extinguished, and the firefighters were in the process of overhauling the area. I saw one woman being loaded onto a stretcher and taken to an ambulance from Oak Brook, but I’m not sure if she ended up getting transported to the hospital. The Brookfield Engine 421 had two lines stretched out, and it looked like they had things under control. I managed to snap a few pictures while I was there. One of the vehicles involved was Pleasantview 1539, which is an E-One 75′ RM Quint. There was also McCook 1411, a Spartan Gladiator Luverne Engine, and 956 Summit’s 2011 Ford F-450/Wheeled Coach Ambulance on the scene. Here are some of the images I took: ![Brookfield house fire 11-4-12](Drew Gresik photo) ![Brookfield house fire 11-4-12](Drew Gresik photo) ![Brookfield house fire 11-4-12](Drew Gresik photo) ![Brookfield house fire 11-4-12](Drew Gresik photo) ![Brookfield house fire 11-4-12](Drew Gresik photo) If you're interested, my full set of photos can be found [HERE](link-to-photos). Big thanks to all the firefighters who were out there working hard last night. It’s always impressive to see how quickly they can handle situations like this. Keep up the great work! Take care, Drew
