+ SOCKET WELD FITTINGS
A socket weld is a type of pipe connection where the pipe is inserted into a recessed area of a valve, fitting, or flange. Unlike butt-weld fittings, socket weld fittings are typically used for small-diameter piping (Small Bore Piping), usually NPS 2 or smaller.
To connect pipes to valves, fittings, or other sections of piping, fillet-type seal welds are commonly used. Socket-welded joints are ideal when high leakage integrity and structural strength are key design considerations.
Although fatigue resistance is lower than in butt-welded joints due to the use of fillet welds and abrupt geometry, it is still superior to most mechanical joining methods.
These fittings are widely used in high-pressure industrial applications.

+THREADED FITTINGS
Threaded joints are one of the oldest methods of connecting piping systems. Similar to socket weld fittings, threaded fittings are commonly used for small-diameter piping (Small Bore Piping), generally NPS 2 or smaller.
