Currently, Daimler's brands include: Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Maybach (discontinued, but the name is transferred to the Mercedes-Benz S-class derivative), commercial vehicle Freightliner, Thomas Built bus. Foreign media said that Daimler is considering the acquisition of Aston Martin and Augusta; although Daimler has not yet made a decision, it is already being planned.
Last year, Aston Martin and Daimler formed a partnership, and the latter's AMG high-performance car business unit will provide technology to the former and hold a 5% stake in the former.
