Low odour Kerosene and kerosene differences

Understanding the Differences Between Low Odor Kerosene and Regular Kerosene

Have you ever wondered about the differences between low odor kerosene and regular kerosene? If you're someone who uses kerosene heaters or relies on kerosene for various purposes, understanding these differences can be quite useful.

The short answer to whether you can use Sydney Solvents Kerosene in your kerosene heater is yes! Our kerosene fuel works perfectly well with kerosene heaters, providing a cozy warmth during colder months.

If you're looking for a kerosene option that doesn't have such a strong smell, Sydney Solvents offers "low odor kerosene." This type of kerosene has a reduced smell that usually burns off during the combustion process, making it less pungent than our standard clear kerosene.

Now, what exactly is blue kerosene? Blue kerosene is essentially the same as Sydney Solvents' clear kerosene, except for its color. It contains a blue dye which helps distinguish it at oil depots. However, when it comes to functionality and usage, there’s no difference between blue kerosene and clear kerosene.

Can you bring your old containers to refill? Unfortunately, due to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, we cannot accept used containers for safety reasons. Even our own containers cannot be refilled.

If you need to dispose of the containers, you can rinse them out thoroughly if they’re empty and place them in your regular trash. Alternatively, check with your local council for proper disposal methods.
