U.S. and Japan jointly launch voice-activated car navigation system

According to local media reports on the 1st, the United States International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) and Japan's Honda Motor Corporation have jointly developed the world's first available voice-controlled car navigation system.

IBM said that this navigation system can identify the names of all cities and streets in the United States. As long as the driver speaks the city, street and zip code to go, the navigation system can use voice to prompt the driver where to turn. The voice-activated system also entered the names and addresses of restaurants throughout the country. The driver only had to name the restaurant or ask to go to a nearby restaurant. The navigation system would then tell the driver how to go.

According to reports, this navigation system will become a standard configuration or an alternative configuration for some Honda models.
