Japan's channel integrated the report of Japan's automotive media, Response. On May 28, Daihatsu announced the construction of a new engine plant in Malaysia.
The new plant is operated by a joint venture established by Daihatsu Group, Daihatsu Industrial, Mitsui & Co., and a local Malaysian investment company. The registered capital of the joint venture is approximately 5 billion yen, and the equipment investment is approximately 15 billion yen. Production will start in 2016. Annual production capacity It is 140,000 units.
