On the 27th, China Light Industry Co., Ltd., FAW Harbin Light Vehicle Co., Ltd. officially started construction of 100,000 light trucks in Harbin Aviation and Auto Industry City (Cottage Area). FAW Harbin's 100,000 light truck project is an important part of China FAW's goal of achieving its own brand of one million cars. It is one of the key projects of the Harbin Municipal Government in 2009 and is also one of the key industrial projects of the Harbin Aviation and Automobile Industry City. The total investment of the project is 1.423 billion yuan, and the design scale is 200,000. It is estimated that it will be completed in December 2010. The first phase of the project will have a production capacity of 100,000 vehicles.
