**Fully Automatic Copper Rod Upcast Machine with 1000 Tons Yearly Capacity**
The copper rod continuous casting machine is specifically designed for producing copper rods of various sizes. This advanced system is widely used in the production of copper wire, strips, and rods, offering high efficiency and consistent quality.
In the production line, copper cathodes are first placed into the furnace via a lifting system for preheating. The feeding speed is adjusted based on the casting speed, and the copper cathodes are then fed into the melting furnace for melting (using argon gas to prevent oxidation). The molten copper flows through the transition section (again using argon gas to avoid oxygen exposure) and into the holding furnace. From there, it moves into the crystallizer, where the copper rods are formed. The molten metal then passes through the casting device, output frame, and separating shelf (to separate individual rods), followed by the tension tower (to control the take-up speed), and finally the take-up machine, completing the coiling process.
**Equipment Composition:**
1. **Furnace**
The production line uses a power frequency induction furnace, consisting of the furnace body, frame, and inductor. The furnace body is made of steel with an inner lining of fireclay bricks and quartz sand. The inductor includes coils, water jackets, iron cores, and copper rings. It operates with adjustable voltage from 90V to 420V and features cooling systems to maintain optimal performance.
2. **Copper Melting Channel & Crystallizer**
These components ensure smooth flow of molten copper and precise solidification into rod form.
3. **Continuous Casting Machine**
This is the core of the production line, equipped with a drawing mechanism, liquid level control, and a freezing system. The drawing mechanism uses AC servo motors and multiple rollers to draw the copper rod continuously at speeds up to 1000 rpm. The freezing system ensures stable and uniform cooling.
4. **Guide Pulley Frame**
Positioned above the casting machine, this frame guides the copper rods to the double-head winding machine without interference.
5. **Limiting Device**
Installed between the guide pulley frame and the winding machine, this device controls the speed of the winding machine using electrical signals generated by contact with spacing units.
6. **Double-Station Coiling Machine**
Designed to wind two copper rods simultaneously, this unit includes drawing rollers, a rotating chassis, and a spooling take-up unit.
7. **Cooling Water System**
A closed-loop system that provides 0.2–0.4 MPa cooling water for the freezer, water jacket, and coil. It includes a 150 m³ water tank, pump, pipes, and a cooling tower, with water temperature maintained at 20–30°C and a flow rate of 50 m³/h.
8. **Electrical Control System**
The system consists of power supply and control units. It manages the operation of the furnace, main machine, winding machine, and cooling system. It includes start/stop buttons, adjustment switches, and meters for monitoring power, voltage, and current.
9. **Charging System**
This system allows for the loading of whole copper plates into the furnace.
10. **Thermocouples**
These measure both the temperature of the molten copper and the cooling water to ensure proper operation.
