Hydrogenated base oils have lower volatility determined by their own molecular structure characteristics. Under the same viscosity, the distillation temperature of hydrogenated base oils with high saturated hydrocarbon content is somewhat higher. This higher boiling point naturally reduces its volatility. In the corresponding distillate volume, the oils have a higher distillation temperature and a correspondingly smaller evaporation loss, which is favorable for the modulation of low viscosity, large span multi-grade oils. The 2/3" oil type environmental protection performance is good to remove other factors (phosphorus content in the additive, the combustion temperature in the converter, etc.. For the catalytic converter damage, the base oil evaporation is also one of the factors affecting the life of the catalytic converter. Evaporation losses are small, the damage to the catalyst in the catalytic converter is small, and therefore the emissions are less polluting to the environment, while prolonging the life of the catalytic converter.
