Hangzhou Huadian Banshan Power Generation Co., Ltd. has made significant progress in the localization of its wet flue gas desulfurization (FGD) plant by conducting extensive research on the slurry pump system. As a result, they developed the LC600/825 flue gas desulfurization circulation pump, which fills a critical gap in the domestic market for high-performance alloy pumps used in desulfurization gypsum slurry circulation systems. The company's FGD project was recognized as an "Excellent Technology Improvement Project" under the "Ninth Five-Year" Plan and received the title of "National PARKnSHOP Environmental Protection Project." It is one of the three major environmental protection demonstration projects in the country. The LC600/825 model is specifically designed for coal-fired power units and is applied within the absorption tower system of the desulfurization process. It has been thoroughly tested and certified by the National Industrial Pump Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. Its key performance metrics meet or exceed those of the original imported pumps. In practical operation, the pump demonstrates excellent reliability, with no leakage from mechanical seals or joints. It fully meets the operational demands of the desulfurization unit. The equipment features a well-structured design, cost-effective manufacturing, and is capable of completely replacing imported models. This not only reduces dependency on foreign technology but also opens up broad market potential due to its high economic value. The successful development of this equipment marks a major milestone in the localization of large-scale desulfurization slurry circulation pumps. It represents a breakthrough in mastering innovative technologies and key technical aspects of such pumps, achieving independent intellectual property rights. This advancement has made a positive contribution to the localization and technological development of desulfurization technology in China. At the first scientific and technological work conference of Huadian Corporation, the company's efforts in localizing the flue gas desulfurization slurry circulation pump were highly praised. Additionally, the project on optimizing the production process of the FGD plant’s gypsum dewatering system won second and third prizes for technological innovation. Hangzhou HVDC Mid-Levels Power Co., Ltd. was honored as an "Advanced Science and Technology Management Collective" in 2005 and received commendation from Huadian Corporation for its outstanding contributions.
