The heat exchanger for large generator sets manufactured by Zhejiang Zhuji Dunan Heat Exchanger Co., Ltd. has recently passed the on-site acceptance by the Quality Management Department of Japan Ebara Co., Ltd. This marks a significant milestone, as it is the first large-scale heat exchanger produced in China that meets the stringent requirements of a global industrial leader.
Japan Ebara Co., Ltd. is a well-known Japanese company specializing in the production of large commercial air conditioning systems. Their heat exchangers are highly complex, with dimensions reaching up to 4.2 meters in length and 2 meters in width. Each unit weighs over 600 kilograms, which presents considerable challenges during manufacturing. Additionally, the visible surface must not be rewound, requiring precision and high-quality craftsmanship throughout the entire production process.
According to sources, last year Sugawara, a key client, had previously commissioned a Shanghai-based company to find Chinese suppliers, but the quality did not meet Ebara's standards. After receiving the trial production order, Zhejiang Zhuji Dunan quickly formed a dedicated project team and provided specialized training to operators and inspectors. Throughout the production process, technicians and quality control personnel were present at the site, monitoring every step from cutting and matching to expanding and welding, ensuring no detail was overlooked.
The fins used in the heat exchangers are made of high-quality hydrophilic foil, designed to enhance performance. The fin type adopted is the internationally popular corrugated sheet design. After each production stage, inspection personnel confirmed the quality before the fin surfaces were immediately protected, effectively avoiding issues such as painting, installation, and lifting.
During the on-site inspection, Mr. Ito from Ebara’s quality management department praised the product extensively, stating that it fully met their expectations. Currently, the production of small-batch heat exchangers has already satisfied Ebara’s requirements, and several custom tube sets have entered the production phase based on the Japanese drawings.
This achievement not only strengthens the company’s reputation in the international market but also opens new opportunities for future collaboration with global clients.
