The National Special Valve Engineering and Technology Research Center aims to enhance the engineering application of research outcomes in special pumps and valves, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into productive forces, and promote the conversion of military technology for civilian use. The center is established under the strong support of the 11th Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, which has decades of experience in basic research and engineering design of special pumps and valves. With a solid technical team, advanced testing equipment, and extensive practical experience, the center is well-positioned to drive innovation in this field.
The center is composed of a team of experts, including the director, deputy director, chief engineer, quality management department, and guest experts. It also includes specialized departments such as the Science and Technology Management Department, Pump Engineering Department, Valve Engineering Department, and Test and Inspection Department. Additionally, there are pilot production plants for both pumps and valves, ensuring that research findings can be effectively translated into commercial products.
In recent years, with the reform of the national science and technology system, the center has focused on developing military technology for civilian industries such as petroleum, chemical, petrochemical, light industry, chemical fiber, and metallurgy. Over 60 types of special pumps have been developed, including high cavitation pumps, volatile hydrocarbon pumps, high-speed pumps, and cryogenic pumps. In addition, the center has produced more than 380 varieties of standard and non-standard valves, such as safety valves, high-temperature valves, cryogenic valves, pilot-operated regulating valves, jacket valves, and corrosion-resistant lined valves.
These products have played a vital role in supporting the normal operation of industrial equipment across the country, providing reliable solutions and excellent service. They have received widespread recognition from users due to their high quality and performance.
The main goal of the center is to continuously advance the development of special pump and valve manufacturing in China, improve the application rate of research results, and meet the growing demands of the national economy.
