Yuchai enters Dory China's largest engine plant

On September 28, Hubei Yuchai Doring Engine Co., Ltd. officially commenced operations in Wuxue City, marking a significant milestone for China’s largest engine manufacturer as it expanded its footprint into Hubei. This event also signified the official launch of Yuchai’s first agricultural machinery production and sales base in North China. On the same day, the company successfully launched its first batch of products from the newly established facility.
It is reported that Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group is the largest internal combustion engine production base in China. Earlier this year, in May, Yuchai acquired Hubei Duoling Machine Co., Ltd. through a bidding process at a price of 18 million yuan. The company plans to invest 100 million yuan in the first phase of the project, focusing on equipment upgrades, procurement, and setting up new production lines at the Dohling plant.
According to Li Hanyang, Chairman of Yuchai Doring, the new company is one of only two single-cylinder diesel engine production bases under Yuchai nationwide. Currently, it specializes in producing leading single-cylinder diesel engines and will leverage the parent company's global sales network to distribute products both domestically and internationally. After the completion of the first phase, the facility is expected to produce 300,000 units annually, generating 450 million yuan in revenue. Within three years, the company aims to manufacture and sell 600,000 units of single- and multi-cylinder diesel engines, with projected annual sales exceeding 1.6 billion yuan within five years. The goal is to establish itself as a major player in Central China’s diesel engine industry.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Yuchai Doring Supply and Marketing Business Meeting and the Yuchai Supporting Industrial Park Investment Conference were held. Over 900 participants from across the country attended, representing various sectors involved in supply and sales. Wu Jingmei, mayor of Wuxue City, announced that the local government had allocated 3,000 mu of land for the construction of Yuchai’s supporting industrial park.
Notable attendees at the opening ceremony included Wu Qingfeng, Director of the Hubei Agricultural Machinery Office; Gao Yingtao, Vice Chairman of the Huanggang CPPCC; Zhang Shejiao, Secretary of the Wuxue City Party Committee; and Gu Tangsheng, Deputy General Manager of Yuchai Group.
This expansion highlights Yuchai’s continued growth and strategic move to strengthen its presence in the northern region. With its strong market position and ambitious development plan, the company is well-positioned to become a key player in China’s agricultural machinery and engine manufacturing sectors.
