On September 28, Hubei Yuchai Doring Engine Co., Ltd. officially commenced operations in Wuxue City, marking a significant milestone for Yuchai Group as it solidifies its presence in Central China. This development signifies that China’s largest engine manufacturer has now established a major foothold in Hubei, with the company's first North China agricultural machinery production and sales base becoming fully operational. On the same day, the first batch of products from the newly launched facility was successfully brought offline, signaling a promising start.
It is reported that Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group is the largest internal combustion engine production base in China. In May of this year, Yuchai acquired Hubei Duoling Machine Co., Ltd. through a bidding process at a price of 18 million yuan. The company plans to invest 100 million yuan in the first phase for equipment upgrades, procurement, and the establishment of a new production facility in Dohling.
Li Hanyang, Chairman of Yuchai Doring, stated that the new company is one of only two single-cylinder diesel engine production bases under Yuchai nationwide. Currently, it focuses on manufacturing high-quality single-cylinder diesel engines that lead the industry. These products will be distributed through Yuchai’s extensive sales network, both domestically and internationally. After the completion of the first phase of the plant's reconstruction, annual production capacity is expected to reach 300,000 units, generating sales revenue of 450 million yuan. Within three years, the company aims to produce and sell 600,000 units of single- and multi-cylinder diesel engines, with sales exceeding 1.6 billion yuan within five years. The ultimate goal is to establish itself as an "aircraft carrier" for the diesel engine manufacturing industry in Central China.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Yuchai Doring Supply and Marketing Business Meeting and the Yuchai Supporting Industrial Park Investment Conference were held. Over 900 participants from across the country attended, representing various sectors involved in supply and sales. Wu Jingmei, Mayor of Wuxue City, revealed that the municipal government has allocated 3,000 mu of land for the construction of Yuchai’s supporting industrial park.
The event also attracted notable attendees, including Wu Qingfeng, Director of the Hubei Agricultural Machinery Office; Gao Yingtao, Vice Chairman of the Huanggang CPPCC; Zhang Shejiao, Secretary of the Wuxue City Party Committee; and Gu Tangsheng, Deputy General Manager of the Yuchai Group.
Yuchai has long been recognized as a leader in the industry, having won the “China Brand Annual Award NO.1†(internal combustion engine) title in 2007. With this new expansion, the company continues to strengthen its position and drive growth in the Chinese and global markets.
