Berwyn Box Alarm 2-7-13

On Thursday night, I witnessed the Box Alarm at 1509 Gunderson in Berwyn. Two individuals were taken to the hospital, and heavy fire was visible upon arrival. The incident was immediately upgraded to a Full Still, and the Box was called shortly after. Oak Park Tower 631 and Berwyn Truck 904 deployed elevated master streams. Berwyn Engines 902 and 903 laid lines, while Berwyn Quint 901, Cicero Engine 2, and Forest Park Engine 402 also provided support. It looked like the fire started in the rear of the one-and-a-half-story home.
